For many, mad basketball skills are something of a DNA blessing and hard work. It is difficult to have control over the ball on the court in sneakers and shorts, but try doing it in a dress, tiara, and sneakers and still managing to dominate. Well, for fourth-grade New Orleans student, Zaila Avant Garde, the dress, tiara, and sneakers only accentuate the fact that she’s the “queen of basketball”.

With a dream to play in the WNBA, this rising star has been showing off her incredible dribbling skills for years.
But yet, basketball is not the only passion this preteen touts. Her current bio states that, “all I want to do, ever, is play chess.”
