SELAH MARLEY COVERS HER MOM’S SONG, ADDRESSES CRITICS

Selah Marley is following in the footsteps of her mom, Lauryn Hill, with a voice that is simply beautiful. The teen shared two clips of her singing earlier this week.

“I rarely post this type of stuff bc I’m usually scared and highly self-conscious,” Selah shared. “I don’t really care anymore,” she added. “Notice I say really bc like honestly I recorded this like a million times trying to get that perfect one and then it kept being *something* so I was just like f*ck it let me put my all into one.”

Many praised Selah for her boldness and beautiful voice. Some, however, had a few criticisms about the up-and-coming singer’s abilities. “You should’ve kept it to yourself,” one troll wrote. “It’s a no from me,” another commented.

Despite the negativity, Selah remained confident. “I don’t want your pity,” she wrote. “I’m here to show you that even if I do suck, I will not be broken.”

We think that Selah does pretty good for someone with raw talent. The teen certainly covered her mom’s single, ‘I Get Out’ well. Take a listen to Lauryn Hill’s original song and tell us how you think Selah fares below!
