Tika Sumpter is teaming up with Dove and giving us a glimpse of her daughter, Ella Loren. The celebrity mom took to Instagram to celebrate her participation in the Dove #RealMoms campaign in which she shared a beautiful picture of her little one reaching out for mom.
“Happy mommy, happy baby,” Sumpter wrote. “Being a working mom in Hollywood can be tough – the long days, the travel. But I’m doing what I love and that makes me a better mom to her. I’m proud to join @BabyDoveUS to celebrate all the #realmoms trusting the choices they make for themselves and their babies. #DovePartner.”
Dove is working hard to show the world what real mothers juggle while rearing their kids. According to studies conducted by the brand, 95 percent of moms know that the imagery of parenthood portrayed by media is not realistic but only 26 percent of mothers believe that such standard of perfection is achievable. In fact, most millennial moms think that maintaining their personalities while raising kids is the only way to maintain a healthy balance.
Tika Sumpter would certainly agree as she has not slowed down in her acting career since giving birth to her and boyfriend Nicholas James last year. “There’s so much I want to teach my daughter, including humility, grace, forgiveness, and understanding,” Tika shared with media shortly after giving birth. “I want her to know her worth and that it’s okay to walk into a room and say, ‘Yes, I’m smart and amazing and I have ideas.’ I want to teach her how to be a boss.”
