Gatlyn Joiner is going to make history with his father, Xzibit, as his biggest fan. The celebrity father recently shared a picture of his son concentrating while playing chess.
“Write it down,” Xzibit said. “He’s going to make history. I love my kids.”
Xzibit has been disproving the stereotypes associated with rappers who are fathers. The celebrity dad became a parent at 19-years-old and has since worked to give his children the finer things in life.
“I have had a wonderful time being a father,” Xzibit wrote in a special Father’s Day post in 2013. “I’m a lil older, a lil wiser, and always told my oldest we ‘grew up’ together,” he added. “I also say kids are like pancakes, you always f*ck the first one up,” the rapper mused.
Xzibit went on to encourage fathers to “run to your responsibilities, not away from them. There is nothing more powerful than seeing your children go out into the world with your lessons and guidance, and succeed.”
Xzibit is the proud father of three sons. The rapper’s youngest son, Xavier, passed away in 2008 less than two weeks after his premature birth.
