When world renowned fashion icon Tory Burch speaks, female entrepreneurs and beyond listen. Having started her fashion empire in the kitchen of her home with a small team to help, the designer grew and learned what it takes to #embraceambition and take your dreams to the next level.
Burch understood the pitfalls that face many females who enter into business for themselves, and set out to create the Tory Burch Foundation in 2009. “Drawing on experiences and on conversations with businesswomen from around the world, we have developed programs and initiatives that invest in the success and sustainability of women-owned small businesses by providing access to capital, entrepreneurial education, mentoring and networking opportunities,” comments Burch on her website.
In that vein, she has gathered the most ambitions and prolific women in Hollywood today, and some men too, to be a part of her #embraceambition campaign, challenging women to “own your power, your drive, and your dreams.” Two fearless young women who have joined the campaign are none other than Yara Shahidi and Gabby Douglas.

It is no doubt that they have joined the movement to empower girls and women around the world to #embraceambition and reach for the stars and beyond. “I’m pledging to #embraceambition because I want to inspire, motivate, and encourage others to never give up and keep striving toward their goals and dreams in life,” commented Douglas. “To me ambition means dreaming big, setting the necessary goals, then working hard to accomplish those goals in order to make those big dreams come true.”
