Can we take a moment to shed light on Marley Rae McCall’s hair? Eva Marcille recently shared a picture of her daughter rocking Bantu knots that made us reflect on Marley’s hair journey, which has been nothing short of adorable.
Eva’s daughter started rocking natural hairstyles last year when mom thought it best to invest in dreadlocks for Marley. The youngster was photographed at the beauty salon during her shampoo session in October. “#Beans is with her Loctician @drkariwill thanks you keeping my babies beautiful crown of locs groomed,” Eva said.
The finished product of that appointment was nothing short of fabulous. Marley showed off her refreshed style while rocking a costume for Halloween.
Eva also began experimenting in the field of Bantu knots for Marley. “#Bantu #Baby Side eye and baby hairs,” the star mom shared along with one picture of her daughter giving the camera her attention while taking a sip from her beverage cup.
Marley is definitely following in her mom’s footsteps when it comes to hairstyles. “To know me is to know I love my hair,” Eva said during an interview with The Cut Life last year.
“I cut my hair because I was born and raised in the black community that lied to me and told me that I am my hair,” Marcille explained. “When I came to college in Atlanta, moving from Los Angeles, I was woken up. I realized that I am not my hair. It doesn’t matter what I wear today, how my hair looks, I’m me.”
Marley Rae McCall is Eva Marcille’s only child. She celebrates her third birthday next month.
