Congratulations to Janet Jackson who welcomed a son on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. The singer’s representative confirmed Janet’s delivery of baby Eissa with PEOPLE.
“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” Jackson’s rep said in a statement. “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
Janet confirmed her expectancy last October. “We thank God for our blessing,” the singer told the press. Jackson’s announcement came months after she canceled the second leg of her ‘Unbreakable’ tour during the early part of last year.
“There actually has been a sudden change,” she revealed in a YouTube video. “My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
Eissa Al Mana is Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana’s first child. The couple celebrated four years of marriage last year.
