John Legend is basking in the joys of parenthood. The celebrity father tells Mr. Porter’s Weekly Journal that he and wife Chrissy Teigen are hoping to give baby Luna a brother or sister in the near future.
“It’s a beautiful thing,” Legend says of being a dad. “We want to have a few more hopefully. Three or four. We’ll play it by ear, though.”
John and Chrissy welcomed Luna earlier this year after a battle with infertility. The couple decided to undergo IVF treatment after trying to naturally conceive.
“You know, sometimes it’s just harder for some people than for others. We’re just happy that we were able to do it with our doctor,” John reveals. “He’s never really told us that there was something specific that he could identify was the reason why it just didn’t work out naturally. We did what we had to do.”
Complications surrounding conception faded when John and Chrissy found out that Luna was on the way. “As soon as we found out we were pregnant, I started writing songs about what it felt like to be a new father,” the recording artist says. “I already was so inspired, before I even saw Luna.”
John’s latest song, ‘Love Me Now,’ was definitely inspired by his family and even features Luna.
