YOUNG STARS TURN OUT FOR ANNUAL EBONY POWER 100 GALA

Several young stars were in attendance at the 2016 Ebony Power 100 Gala held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on December 1, 2016 in Beverly Hills, California.  Among the attendees were Skai Jackson, Miles Brown, Mikaila Ulmer honorees Simone Biles and Marley Dias, just to name a few.

Presented by Nationwide and hosted by the Original King of Comedy, Cedric the Entertainer, the annual celebration honored #BlackExcellence in a wide range of industries including business, medicine, sports, media, religion, entertainment, and creative arts.

First off on the list of honorees, Cicely Tyson, Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson all received the EBONY Lifetime Achievement award for their contributions to acting and music. In addition to the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award, Grammy-award winning musician Nile Rodgers, co-founder of CHIC, received the EBONY Icon Award.

“Nationwide congratulates the distinguished honorees of the 2016 Ebony Power 100 list,” stated Nationwide Chief Marketing Officer, Terrance Williams. “We celebrate the leadership that members of the current and past Power 100 list have demonstrated through their work and accomplishments they’ve achieved that are making a difference in the lives of so many.”
