Lola and Karon Riley are the stars in the upcoming Christmas film for television called Merry Christmas, Baby! Terri Vaughn took to Instagram to celebrate her husband and daughter in their new roles on Friday.
“THIS SUNDAY ON @up_tv see my husband @karonjosephriley, my baby #Lola, my sister @malinsworld and more family #MerryChristmasBaby,” Terri Vaughn shared. Karon also commented on the movie by spotlighting his daughter’s performance. “My baby girl killed it,” the proud father said.
Merry Christmas, Baby! is the continuation of Marci and Blair’s happily ever after. The couple got married on Christmas, had their first child on Christmas, and now the power couple is planning a big bash in honor of their little one’s first holiday season spent with the family.
“This one is about the baby’s first Christmas,” Malinda Williams, who stars as Marci, says. “As you know, the baby was born on Christmas. And so she kind of wants to throw a huge shindig for her baby girl.”
Although Marci is excited about the possibilities of hosting one of the biggest holiday parties that family has seen in celebration of her daughter Chandler’s birthday and Christmas, Blair has a few reservations. The loving husband is proud of the life that he enjoys with his wife and daughter but, somehow, nothing can fill the void left by the passing of his mother.
“He’s missing his mom,” Karon Riley says of his character. “He has a daughter now and his daughter looks a lot like his mom, and it’s just one of those things where you kind of wish your mother was there to help walk you through this thing.”
Blair has a few heart-to-heart moments with various family members from Marci’s side that include a segment with his mother-in-law Stephanie (Victoria Rowell) who tells him that he is a good man of which his mother would be proud.
Merry Christmas, Baby! premieres on UPtv at 7 PM on November 13, 2016.
