Jaden and Willow Smith are the latest celebrities join in the Dakota Pipeline Access protest. Both siblings documented their recent participation in the movement—Willow on Instagram and Jaden on Twitter.
The Dakota Pipeline is a potential environmental threat to the Missouri River, which is the main water source for the Standing Rock Sioux Native American tribe. American Indians and many celebrities have been protesting the pipeline since April, stating that it would not only taint water supplies but it could destroy sacred sites, treaty-protected territories, and ancestral lands that lie outside of the reservations.
Recently, protests have garnered national attention and celebrities such as Mark Ruffalo and Susan Sarandon have also spoken out against the DAPL.
Check out the video below as protesters march in unity chanting, “Can’t drink oil, keep it in the soil.”
