Phaedra Parks stopped by ‘The Real’ earlier this week and gave the scoop on her life as a single mom.
“I’m not man crazy,” the star explains. “Anyone who knows me, watches our show, knows that I have several jobs. But what’s most important is being a great mother. I know that whoever dates me has to date my two sons as well. I’m not opposed to dating, but I want to make sure it’s the right man.”
Phaedra joined her fans in utter shock when her then-husband Apollo Nida pled guilty to fraud that brought about an eight-year federal prison sentence last year. “He had been to prison,” Phaedra admitted during a conversation with Ellen DeGeners. “But he was a changed person, so the person I married, I thought he had changed.” The star further explained, “I didn’t have any idea this was going on until he called me and said ‘Hey, I’ve been arrested.”
Still, with all of the heartache caused by Apollo’s poor choices, Phaedra marveled in their two sons. “That’s the best thing we ever did together,” the celebrity mom gushed. “We have great kids. I never want to do anything to diminish his character in public,” she added.
