Pumpkin decorations are no laughing matter for Cali Dream. The youngster’s mom, Tiffney Cambridge, recently shared a picture of her daughter while posing next to a pumpkin that she designed along with a caption that referenced the seriousness of the photo.
“I hope @littlemisscalidream wins this pumpkin decorating contest,” Tiffney wrote. “She is SERIOUS about it…Guarding this pumpkin with her entire L I F E…He even has a FULL name : Piper Peacock Pumpkin.”
Cambridge also shared her heart about Breast Cancer Awareness month. The children’s author offered a promotion of her book, The Little Girl Who Lost Her Smile, that centered around the special four weeks. “In honor of #breastcancerawarenessmonth and families who are struggling and – who have lost their smile..during the month of October you can buy one copy of #thelittlegirlwholosthersmile and I’ll sign and send you another copy for free. My gift to you, so you can gift someone else,” Tiffney shared.
Both Tiffney and Cali Dream have soft spots for cancer patients. It was just last year that Cambridge embraced a mother whose 7-year-old daughter had been diagnosed with cancer. “I just want to give that little hope that you’re giving,” the mother said at Tiffney’s book launch. “You give me this inspiration [that] maybe I can [go through] it.”
Cambridge got candid about the disease by sharing its impact on her family. “I lost my mom to cancer, my sister and I, and it’s been ten years.” The children’s author also told attendees that her daughter had suggested taking The Little Girl Who Lost Her Smile to the “kids’ hospital. She just said that.”
Tiffney Cambridge’s debut book is centered around Cali Dream who was overwhelmed by sadness after her parents separated. “A lot of us go through situations where we’re sad, even as adults,” Tiffney shared at her book launching event. “The fact that she was able to go through that challenge and get her smile back, it’s just really encouraging.”
