Monica is rewarding her kids for all of their hard work during the school year. The celebrity mom recently shared pictures of her sons, Romelo and Rodney Jr., hanging out at a concert and basketball game while on fall break.
Rodney and Romelo had a blast at Chance the rapper’s concert. The boys took several pictures with the leading artist and others at the event. The Hill brothers later caught a basketball game that Desiigner and Quavo Huncho also attended.

Monica is extremely proud of her sons who are doing exceptionally well in school. “I’m proud of the both of you,” she said in a sort of open letter to her kids. “I’m glad God trusted me enough to give the responsibility of raising you to me,” Monica added. “Be great, Be strong, Become Men and let your moral compass and love for Christ guide you when the way gets tough. Your mother will forever stand behind or beside you!”

It was just a few months ago that Monica opened up about her failed relationship with her son’s father, Rodney Hill Sr., brought on feelings of inferiority. “I felt bad because I always wanted my children to have two parents,” she shared. “I felt I had failed them in some way and I really had to take a step back and do a self-check and really regroup and that’s what I was doing. I was getting ‘me’ together in front of everybody.”

Although the process was long and sometimes hard, Monica managed to find herself and, in doing so, came in contact with the man of her dreams. “When he and I met, it wasn’t long before we got married,” Monica said of her husband, Shannon Brown. “He told me the day we met that I’m going to be his wife.”
Monica and Shannon Brown have one child, Laiyah, together. Monica has three kids in all.
