Laila Ali is partnering with Colgate to spread the importance of bright smiles. The celebrity mom is working with the oral care brand to encourage kids to practice good dental hygiene.
Bright Smiles, Bright Futures (BSBF) has served as an advocate for dental care for a quarter of a century. The program especially targets underserved communities that may not have access to the tools needed for oral sanitation. Colgate’s BSBF initiative has given out hundreds of toothpaste and toothbrushes to underprivileged families in addition to providing free dental screenings and educational material to residents. In fact, Colgate donated 500,000 oral care products to the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) in observance of its ’25 Days of Smiles’ that commemorated the brand’s twenty-five years of service to communities in need.
“Educating children about proper oral hygiene habits and helping underserved communities is at the heart of the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program,” says the program’s global leader Marsha Butler. “Over the past 25 years, BSBF has grown from reaching 25,000 children in the U.S. to more than 850 million in 80 countries. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with Laila Ali as we work together to give all children the ‘Power of a Bright Smile.'”
Laila Ali will definitely be instrumental in spreading Colgate’s message of good oral care. The former boxer has two kids, Sydney and Curtis Jr., with husband Curtis Conway.
