Hillary Clinton has the support of Hollywood as she fights for the Democratic nomination in the presidential election. Jamie Foxx, Tatyana Ali, and Garcelle Beauvais were three of many celebrities to speak in favor of the politician at the “Hillary Clinton: She’s With Us” rally and concert on Monday.
Jamie brought his daughters, Corrine and Annalise, onstage during his segment. Annalise had words while Corrine stood by her family’s side. Garcelle Beauvais and Tatyana Ali also took the stage during the event. The actresses spoke passionately about their candidate of choice and encouraged everyone to get out and vote.
The primary election for the presidential race was held on Tuesday. Hillary found great success while her opponent, Bernard Sanders, didn’t get the results he would have liked to receive. “This campaign is about making sure there are no ceilings, no limits on any of us,” Clinton said. The Democratic nominee also commented on her opponent’s tenacity. “It never feels good to put our heart into a cause or a candidate you believe in and come up short,” Hillary said. “I know that feeling well. But as we look ahead to the battle that awaits, let’s remember all that unites us.”

Even though Clinton is presumed as the Democratic candidate, Bernard Sanders pledges to stay in the race until the end. “Secretary Clinton does not have and will not have the requisite number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination,” the Senator’s spokesperson Michael Briggs tells media. “She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then.”
The Democratic nominee will contend against the likely Republican candidate, who is Donald Trump, for the office of president of the United States. the general election takes place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
