Willow Smith gave her fans the surprise of a lifetime at this year’s Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on Saturday. The young star was in the middle of her performance when she brought her father, Will Smith, onstage to help her deliver.
The celebrity got the crowd hyped while rendering the lyrics to his hit song ‘Summertime.’ Willow followed her father’s lead and sang along with him during the special segment.
Willow released her EP, 3, in 2014. The artistry includes the songs ‘Flowers’ and ‘9,’ which features fellow recording artist Sza.
Although she has a music career that is quite remarkable, Willow has not stopped broadening her horizon in the creative industry. The young star recently broke into the fashion realm as Chanel’s brand ambassador and has an incredible following of teenagers who love her style.
“Being a young African-American woman with dreads, it blows my mind that I’m a Chanel ambassador, Willow said during a recent interview with Teen Vogue. “I’m coming into a new part of my life that is completely unknown, and I’m jumping right in. All I can do from here is continue to shift paradigms and continue to push the envelope further and further. But I am doing it every day just by being myself.”
Willow is Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s youngest child. The couple has two children together. Will Smith has three kids in all. Catch a snippet of Will and Willow’s performance at Roots Picnic below!
