Skai Jackson is being hailed as one wise teen. The young star recently responded to Azealia Banks who verbally attacked her after Skai suggested she “simmer down.”
Azealia originally came after Zayn Malik with a tweet that called the artist a “sand n—– who emulates white boys’ renditions of black male hood.” Banks also accused Malik of stealing her work and passing it off as his own.
In response to her Twitter rant, Skai advised the 24-year-old recording artist to calm down. “Azealia Banks needs to simmer down a little,” Jackson wrote.
Azealia responded by telling Skai to “grow some hips and start ur menses. stay in a child’s place.” The recording artist went on to call Skai a “Disney reject” and told the teen, “Ur mom’s been pimping you out to disney since you were a lil girl. lets see what you end up like at 21. bye.”
Unwilling to crumble in the face of cyberbullying, Skai responded to Azealia’s comments. “I had a career before Disney and I’m sure I will after,” she tweeted. “I know I won’t turn out like you bitter and miserable! Fix ur life … and I’m sure my mom did a wayyy better job then yours did! You give black woman a bad name. I’ll be praying for you.”
Azealia has incited Twitter wars with other big names in Hollywood that include Pharrell. The latest spat with Skai Jackson is the first time the recording artist has openly argued with a child.
