In many respects, the film itself serves as an eye-opener to the violence in Chicago that is increasing by the day. Hundreds have been murdered as the result of gang violence since this year’s beginning, which was just over three months ago. The writers and actors are hoping that viewing the film will bring about some sort of peace.
