Thandie Newton was one of many stars to attend the ‘Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ opening at Universal Studios Hollywood on Tuesday. The actress was accompanied by her husband, Ol Parker, and daughters Nico and Ripley who were excited to explore the theme park’s new attraction.
The ‘Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ is a project that is five years in the making and highly anticipated by J.K. Rowling fans. “Today is a very exciting and historically significant day for us,” Larry Kurzweil, President, Universal Studios Hollywood, said on Tuesday.
“This incredible event to celebrate the opening of ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ marks the pinnacle of years of hard work and the beginning of a new generation of Universal Studios Hollywood. With over 75 percent completely re-imagined, Universal Studios Hollywood is an entirely new theme park destination and we look forward to sharing everything that the Entertainment Capital of L.A. has to offer with visitors from around the world.”
Thousands are expected to experience the world of Harry Potter that has been created at Universal Studios when the ‘Wizarding’ attraction opens to the public on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Dozens of celebrities, including Chris Hardwick and Tom Felton, joined Thandie and the family in viewing the theme park’s new sight early on Tuesday.
