Jaden Smith’s dreadlocks were the focus at the New York premiere of Allegiant held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on March 14, 2016 in New York City. Dressed in a button-down plaid shirt and black pants, Smith styled his locs in a manner that was every bit unique.
The young star brought all of his dreads to the top of his head and bound them so that they leaned forward. Perhaps the highlight of the style was that each section was going a different way. The ponytail on the right stuck out a bit more than the one on the left, which rested between Jaden’s ear and eye. Then there was the middle ponytail that took precedence as the center of attraction.
Many attendees commented on Jaden’s hairstyle at the premiere as it certainly was unique. Distinctiveness is what Jaden goes for every time he dresses, which is why he accepted the offer to model Louis Vuitton’s women’s line. “I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms,” Jaden told GQ. “I feel like people don’t really get it. I’m not saying that I get it, I’m just saying that I’ve never seen any distinction. I don’t see man clothes and woman clothes, I just see scared people and comfortable people.”
Jaden is Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s oldest child. The couple have two kids together, and Will fathers three children in all.
