Cordell Broadus is planning to make a comeback. The son of Snoop Dogg has been practicing with the UCLA Bruins in hopes of returning to the football field this fall.
“Cordell spoke with Coach Mora, indicating he missed the game and wanted to earn his way back on the team as a walk-on,” Associate Athletic Director Josh Rupprecht told media a few days ago. “He will indeed be participating in Spring practice, which begins later this month on March 29, as a walk-on,” he added.
Broadus stepped away from the field last year in pursuit of a career in media. “Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life – in particular his love of film through his company Film School Production,” Coach Mora told the press. He went on to say that “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”
Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus have three kids together. Cordell is the couple’s youngest son.
