PJ Rose is game ready. The son of NBA player Derrick Rose and Meika Reese was recently photographed while supporting dad at a basketball game.
Meika made sure that her son was dressed to impress with stylish clothes and shoes. Little PJ was photographed at another game while sporting his “PJ Face” shirt. Derrick was in sync with his son as he wore socks that featured the same image.
“PJ Face” is a collection inspired by Derrick’s son. Designers couldn’t get enough of the youngster’s facial expressions exhibited during one of his father’s meetings with the press and decided to put the image of PJ scrunching up on a t-shirt.
It appears that Derrick’s son is well on his way to following in his mother’s footsteps in the fashion world. Little PJ has modeled his mom’s brand and continues to capture the attention of designers in the field.
Still, Derrick hopes to deposit some of his skills into PJ in the instance that the he chooses to play basketball. “I’m doing all this because of my son now,” he said of his career during a recent interview with ESPN. “Just wanting to be around him every day, having him come up here, shoot with me or see me shooting til he’s able to become a ball boy. Little things like that I think about long term. Just trying to get him groomed, trying to get him used to being in the environment.”
