In addition to the ‘Black-ish’ kids, Skai Jackson was also in attendance at the NAACP luncheon. The young star is among the nominees for outstanding performance in the series ‘Jessie’ as well. Skai and her co-stars were so influential in the Disney show that the network created a spin-off called ‘BUNK’D’ that features Jackson.
“I play the same character, Zuri Ross, who we all know is sassy and she knows what she wants, and she’s very outgoing,” Skai said during a recent interview. “So it’s kind of like we go from this huge penthouse to this not so nice camp in Maine. And it’s kind of fun watching Zuri adjust to the different lifestyle.”
The 47th annual NAACP Awards will take place on Sunday, February 5, 2016.
