Eric Benet, his wife Manuela Testolini, and their kids hosted In A Perfect World’s (IAPW) 10 Year Celebration of Giving this past Saturday. The event was held in Calabasas, California.
Manuela is the founder of IAPW, which is a nonprofit that seeks to expose impoverished communities to better educational opportunities. The charity’s mission is to “support educators and children in underserved classrooms, provide mentorship and artistic expression to homeless youth, build schools in some of the poorest countries in the world, and encourage young people to take action and make a difference.” In A Perfect World has touched the lives of thousands since its inception several years ago, and continues to offer opportunities to kids living in regions that do not lend much financial support to educational initiatives.
Eric and Manuela are certainly advocates for academic advancement among children. The couple have a school-aged daughter, Lucia, and welcomed a younger child, Amoura, who celebrated her first birthday earlier this year. “Being a parent and raising a child is a multi-layered job with so many challenges and so many beautiful rewards,” said Eric during one interview with media.
The R&B singer and his wife are the proud parents of two kids. Eric also has an adult daughter named India from a previous relationship. Learn more about In A Perfect World here.
