Last night was full of surprises as Torrei Hart joined young star Laya Hayes in celebrating Steve Harvey’s ‘Season of Surprises’ block party at Universal Studios Hollywood. The celebrities enjoyed the food, games and a surprise reunion of the cast of ‘227’
Marla Gibbs, Jackee Harry, Hal Williams and Curtis Baldwin reconnected in front of more than 300 guests at the party. Nina Parker of ‘Access Hollywood’ conducted a special interview segment that revealed much about what the cast has been up to since ‘227’ went off the air.
Many remember the weekly conversations that preceded the incredible plots on the hit show. Although all of the scenes took place in an apartment, the excitement that characters brought to the segments made the show great.
Wednesday’s block party was certainly like old times as Jackee, Marla, Harry, Hal and Curtis were the lively bunch during their reunion. The stars only added to the excitement that was already in the air as several food trucks catered the event and a number of trivia games were played. Although Steve Harvey was unable to attend the bash, he did leave a heartfelt message for guests.
