Kandi Burruss’ pregnancy hasn’t been all sunshine. A recent episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta reveals that the businesswoman has been battling with fibroids during pregnancy.
“Having fibroids during pregnancy, especially having a lot like they told me I do, it scares me,” Kandi says during the segment where she and husband Todd Tucker visit the doctor. “They can cause a lot of problems,” adds the star.
Fibroids, also known as uterina myoma, are noncancerous tumors that sometimes develop in a woman’s uterus during her childbearing years. Although these tumors are not prone to spread and destroy cells, they cause much pain and abnormalities within the woman’s body during expectancy.
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are expecting their son to arrive in coming months. The couple celebrated the impending birth of their little one a few weeks ago with a candy themed baby shower. “My friends did a #KandiLand theme,” Burruss wrote on Instagram after the festivities concluded. “Thank you @KelliesBakingCo Selfie Cookies and Instant Selfie Cookies, Cotton Candy Provided by #OscarWilliamsCottonCandy, @PopcornHaven for the delicious variety, @Lolli.bop for the candy kabobs, @zeiglerpr for your help bringing the theme together!”
The newest addition to the Tucker family will join big sisters Riley, Kandi’s daughter, and Kaela, Todd’s daughter, at home.
