Tyrese may have attended the American Music Awards on Sunday but it was his daughter, Shayla, who garnered the most attention. The 8-year-old made a great showing on the red carpet, and accompanied her father onstage inside the venue.
Many media outlets commented on Shayla’s lipstick. One source deemed the color as “the perfect vivid shade of orange-red lipstick.”
In addition to wearing makeup that was the perfect tone, Shayla rocked a pretty brown dress. The youngster was photographed while taking several pictures with her father and other celebrities on the red carpet. Things got even better for the little once the ceremony got underway as she had the pleasure of standing beside her father during his and actor Wilmer Valderrama’s segment.
Tyrese often shares the joys of fatherhood. “I am father,” wrote the star in an open letter to his daughter last year. “I am here to keep things in perspective – I am here to emotionally protect you from all the things that you might NOT have clarity over – other than The Lord Jesus Christ himself – I got you my little angel your going to see this world through MY eyes- This life journey is not a sprint it’s a marathon.”
Shayla is Tyrese’s only child with ex-wife Norma Mitchell. She celebrated her eighth birthday in July.
