Jhene Aiko is celebrating life with her little princess. The singer and her daughter, Namiko, put on their best formal wear and attended the Disney Parade on Thursday. The parade will air on Christmas Day. “The best,” Aiko captioned underneath a picture of her and Namiko wearing their white dresses.

In addition to rocking formal wear at the Disney Parade, Jhene and Namiko took the liberty of enjoying Walt Disney World. “How to end a perfect day,” shared Aiko along with a picture of her, Namiko and family friends posing beside Beast of Beauty and the Beast. The singer further explained, “The sacrifice is the reward. I work a lot and sacrifice spending time with my greatest gift … Today was awesome.”

Although many compare her with younger artists in the industry, Jhene tells Global Grind that she has experiences that surpass what younger women discuss in their songs. “The biggest misconception about me is that I’m young or younger than I am, and that I should be compared to some of the younger people in the industry,” says Aiko. “I’m 27,” adds the star. “I have a daughter and I’ve lived a very eventful life. People think that when I’m talking about things in my experiences, that I’m coming from this fake deep place. My mother would always tell me that if you live long enough, you’ll catch yourself saying to people that are 19 or 20, ‘you don’t understand, I don’t expect you to.'”

Namiko is Jhene Aiko and singer O’Ryan’s only child together. She will celebrate her seventh birthday next Thursday.
