“My babies went to the White House and interviewed the First Lady today,” exclaimed Strahan. “I am so proud!!”

Sophia and Isabella were invited to attend the Kids’ State Dinner, which is hosted every year at the White House by First Lady Obama. “We started the Kids’ State Dinner a few years ago, because we thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be fun to reward kids who were eating healthy and teaching other kids to eat healthy?'” shared Mrs. Obama with the girls. Michelle was prompted to go into further detail about the State Dinner after Sophia inquired about the origins of the gathering.

Isabella also posed a number of questions during her conversation with the first lady, which included one that asked Michelle to give kids advice about nutrition. “It’s really important for kids to understand that food is fuel,” said the first lady. “If you’re eating fruits and vegetables and whole grains and, you know, good food … you’re going to be able to go faster and farther. And you’re going to be able to succeed.”

Isabella and Sophia are Michael Strahan’s children with ex-wife Jean Muggli. The television personality has four kids in all.
