Jacob Latimore will join Dule Hill and rapper Tyga in telling the story of a young drug dealer in the upcoming film, Sleight. Latimore will be featured as the central character of the film that portrays a touching story of survival in Los Angeles.
A young street magician (Latimore) is left to care for his little sister after his mother passes away. Although his fun and games in the way of superstition is enough to amuse the crowds, such activities do little to keep a roof over the brother and sister’s head. The magician, therefore, turns to the drug scene in Los Angeles and sales narcotics at various parties in the city. He must rely on the trickery that he learned as a magician to get him through the danger posed by drug lords in order to survive.
Although the role is quite edgy, Jacob is completely capable of playing the part. The young star recently told DOPE magazine that he wants his portfolio as an actor to include dramatic roles. “I think I can play any role, actually, if I am given the chance,” said Latimore. “I guess a leading role that could propel me into a household name would be doing a movie like Spider-Man or playing Trayvon Martin.”
You can see Jacob Latimore in Sleight when the film makes its public debut in coming months.
