All eyes were on Noemie Lenoir as she graced the red carpet with her beauty and poise at the premiere of Le Tete Haute (‘Standing Tall’) at the Cannes Film Festival that took place in Cannes, France, earlier this week. The model cradled her baby bump while wearing a yellow dress fit for spring or summer. Noemie was all smiles as photographers took pictures of her while adoring fans looked.
It was just a few years ago that the model’s smile had faded and she was at the brink of death by way of suicide. “People say, ‘How could she do it, how could she try and kill herself, didn’t she think about her son,'” said the star of her experience with depression. “They don’t understand,” added Lenoir. “I love my son so much. But I didn’t think I was good enough, I thought I was poison. Poison for me and poison for him. When I was depressed I felt like I was poisoning his life by being in it.I thought he would be better with his dad and my mom to look after him.”
Now, five years laters, Noemie is in a much better place and expecting her second child to arrive in coming weeks. The star’s son, Kelyan Makélélé, celebrated his tenth birthday in February.
