On Friday morning, actress Garcelle Beauvais shared a “Flash Back Friday” photo on Instagram in which she is seen posing with her sons Jax and Jaid for the NoH8 campaign. “Never too early to teach compassion! #Love @NOH8CAMPAIGN #jaidandjax,” Garcelle captions.
The NOH8 campaign began five years ago in direct response to a California amendment that banned same-sex marriage. Although the grassroots movement began as a protest against the legislation, it has now grown to be a charity that opposes all forms of discrimination. As the organization’s website explains, “The message of ‘No Hate’ can be interpreted and applied broadly, and speaks to each person in their own way.”
Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley founded NOH8 in 2010. Garcelle has three boys in all.
