Tamika Fuller was set to appear in court to request a new trial, in hopes of re-gaining custody of her child. However, on April 9, 2015, the judge denied her motion for a new trial. Now, the relentless mom is asking the public for help. Tamika recently took her fight to GoFundMe.com, where she asked the public for money.
“My experience in the Atlanta court system fighting for custody of my daughter has almost destroyed me, but I won’t let that happen,” began Fuller in her note. “I also never want another woman to feel as alone and hunted as I’ve felt throughout this process, so I am starting a foundation for mothers who are in similar situations. I want to provide support for women who are pregnant and aren’t getting any help from the father of their child. I also plan to provide resources that will educate women on how to have a safe and healthy pregnancy while under seemingly insurmountable stress.”
Fuller is asking fans to donate $7,000 to her cause. The funding will go towards helping other single moms like herself and “helping to bring my own daughter home.”
Cai Bridges is Tamika Fuller’s only child with Ludacris. The rapper won full physical custody of his daughter earlier this year, after a judge determined that he was better capable of caring for her. Learn more about Tamika’s GoFundMe.com campaign here.
