Victor Cruz is enjoying every bit of fatherhood. The NFL star tells Yahoo! Parenting that his daughter has him participating in many activities that he wouldn’t ordinarily do.
“She always sits me down and tries to get me to have fake food from her kitchen set or sip from her little cup,” says Cruz. “I transition right from practice on the field to watching Frozen.”
The star athlete also talks about his daughter’s bedtime story time, which includes English coupled with Spanish reading. “I read books to Kennedy in Spanish before bed every night,” explains Victor. “I’ll lay down and tell her to grab a book — and she’ll grab six. It’s funny she’ll say ‘you read one, then I’ll read one,’ and then she looks at the pictures and tells me what’s happening in the pictures. That’s her version of reading.”
Kennedy also has her own version of the Salsa dance that involves “stomping her feet to the ground.” Victor tells Yahoo!, “When she gets older, we’ll have lessons.”
Although his daughter brings him much joy, Victor would like to add more little ones to his nest soon. “I’d like to have another kid,” shares the celebrity. “My fiancee wants to wait until we get married, but hopefully one day we’ll have a Victor Cruz Jr.”
Kennedy is Victor’s only child with fiancee Elaina Watley.
