Heads turned towards Sofia Richie as she made her grand entrance into Pier 94 for the Marc by Marc Jacobs fashion show in New York City this past Tuesday. The 16-year-old was certainly a sight to see as she rocked a style that was all her own.
Sofia wore a blue and black striped faux-fur coat with a white shirt that only enhanced the colors of her coat. The teen’s makeup also served as an accessory by being more natural than bold.
As the daughter of a renowned singer, Lionel Richie, Sofia has been afforded the opportunity to explore the fashion and music industries. The teen has collaborated with her father on music in the past, and more recently participated in photo shoots that showcased her knack for modeling.
The young star has not suppressed her desire to be in the spotlight, either. It was just a few days ago that Sofia told media that she wanted to be the next top model. “I’m not walking in this season’s Fashion Week but definitely next season I’ll be walking,” Sofia shared with the New York Post . She further explained, “I follow a bunch of models and see how they did it when they were my age. And I also get advice from some of my sister’s friends that are models, and they kind of help me get on the right course [to] understand what I have to do and when I have to do it.”
Sofia Richie is Lionel Richie’s youngest daughter. The R&B singer also fathers another daughter, Nicole, as well as a son named Miles.
