Kelis and her son are exploring the world and learning new things. The ‘Milkshake’ singer recently took her little prince, Knight Jones, to Israel.

Knight took several pictures with his mom while in the Holy Land. The youngster was able to visit many historical landmarks that included the Dead Sea. Kellis and Knight took an adorable candid near the legendary body of water that featured the R&B singer and her son sitting in the water while taking in the scenery.

Kelis has written a number of songs that share the joys that she has experienced as a mother. In fact, the hit ‘Acapella,’ was created shortly after her son was born in 2009.

“In being a mom, I’ve really grown to love learning [and] teaching and watching my son grow up,” says the singer of parenthood. Kellis also addresses the idea of her lyrics being linked to feminism by telling media, “I’ve never really thought of myself as a feminist. I just happened to be going through a point in time where my music was expressive, not in relation to gender.”

Kelis has one child with ex-husband Nasir Jones.
