BLACK-ISH WINS BIG AT THE 46TH NAACP AWARDS

ABC’s Black-ish was TV’s big winner Friday evening at the 46th NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California.

“Blackish” swept all five comedy series categories, and won Best Comedy Series as well as the awards for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series (Anthony Anderson), Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series (Tracee Ellis Ross), Oustanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy (Laurence Fishburne) and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Yara Shahidi).

The NAACP Image Awards is the premier multicultural awards show. It celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film, and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.
