Spike Lee and kids, Satchel and Jackson, host the listening party for Da Sweet Blood of Jesus in New York. The teens give their dad full support as he brings a horror film like no other to the movie scene.
It was just a few days ago that Spike Lee released his highly anticipated film on Vimeo. Subscribers were invited to either rent the film for one day or download the movie for $14.99. “I’m hyped on my partnership with Vimeo to get my new joint ‘Da Sweet Blood of Jesus’ out to the world in a new way,” said Lee in a statement. “This is the future of film distribution. Please join us.”
Da Sweet Blood of Jesus is about a doctor, Hess Green, who is cursed by an African artifact. The ancient treasure makes him blood thirsty, literally, and transforms him into something that is not quite human, yet not on the side of vampire either. The doctor falls madly in love with a woman by the name of Ganja Hightower and everything, including passion itself, comes into question.
Da Sweet Blood of Jesus is expected to make its big screen debut in coming weeks. Spike Lee and wife Tonya Lewis have two kids together.
