Abrielle DeBarge is alive and safe after an Amber Alert was issued for her on Tuesday (January 13). The 15-year-old responded to the reports of her disappearing after a basketball game at her school with a post to her social media account. “I’m alive, I’m safe. I’m coming home later, I’m trying to reply to as many texts as I can right now,” tweeted Abrielle on Wednesday.
The Burbank police department issued an Amber Alert just one day prior, after Abrielle neither came home nor made contact with family and friends. MEET magazine shared the news with its subscribers on YouTube, and advised them to contact the police if they were aware of the teen’s whereabouts.
Abrielle is famed singer Chico DeBarge’s daughter. The artist reportedly has five kids in all.
