Gabrielle Union, 43, has had a successful career and is fortunate enough to have a beautiful family with “awesome” step-kids. Still, the actress confessed to Uptown Magazine that she and husband, Dwayne Wade, would love to have a child of their own. However, she accepts that it may not ever happen. She has not given up hope yet though, and is taking Geritol.
“I think my brain and my heart are screaming baby fever… I’ve lasted 42 years without having a human being come from one of my orifices and I feel okay and fulfilled and happy. If it does happen, it’s a miracle—a medical miracle at least. I mean, we’d love to. We’ll see what my ovaries say.”
Gabrielle married longtime boyfriend Dwayne Wade in August of this year, shortly after the birth of his son Xavier who had been conceived during a brief split between the couple. She is now step-mother to little Xavier, and his two older sons, Zaire (12) and Zion (7). She told Uptown that if she does conceive, she will be okay. “I have really awesome stepkids, so I feel equally as fulfilled.”
