Curtis Jackson, a.k.a. 50 Cent, has a son who is hoping to make a name for himself in basketball. Marquise recently sat down for an interview with TMZ Sports , where he talked about his dreams of earning a scholarship and one day being a professional basketball player.
“It’s a blessing, man. I pray for stuff like this,” said Jackson. The young adult, who graduated from high school earlier this year, went on to tell TMZ that he was “just happy I’m able to play ball and do something I love.”
In loving sports, Marquise gave much credit to boxer Floyd Mayweather who inspires him to persevere in the face of all odds. “Just seeing him work, his work ethic is motivation for me,” shared the young adult. “I really pay attention to what he does in the boxing ring. It’s really inspiration for me. To see somebody have such a work ethic as his is just insane to me.”
Marquise addressed the idea of him following in dad’s footsteps and pursuing a career in the music industry before concluding the interview. The recent high school graduate said that he would prefer to play ball over being the world’s next great rapper.
