Halle Berry wants Nahla’s hair to keep its natural form. At least that’s what her lawyer told the judge during Monday’s hearing. Steve Kolodny explained to the court that his client, Berry, became infuriated after discovering that Nahla’s father, Gabriel Aubry, was using chemicals and heat to style the little one’s hair.
According to TMZ,
“Halle was furious Gabriel was straightening Nahla’s naturally-curly hair, lightening it with highlights and she is convinced it’s because he does not want the girl to appear to be African American.”
Halle and Gabriel have been embroiled in a lengthy custody battle that has brought about physical fights, and legal objections. It was just a few weeks ago that Berry filed documents requesting the amount she pays in child support be lowered due to Gabriel’s refusal to work despite being fully capable of holding down a job.
Although tensions were high in this most recent matter concerning Nahla’s hair, the judge managed to put out the flames by ordering neither Halle nor Gabriel alter the natural form of their daughter’s hair. Nahla is Halle’s only daughter. She also has a son named Maceo Martinez.
