Reginae Carter is making a name for herself as a solo recording artist. The teen’s mom, Toya Wright, recently expressed excitement over her daughter’s newly released single and participation in her father’s upcoming album.
“She just released her first single, ‘Mind Going Crazy,’ and she got a lot of big things coming at the end of the year. So I’m very excited about that,” said Toya. “I feel better with her being in the hands of her father (Lil Wayne) when it comes to this music because he been doing it for so long.”
Mrs. Wright gave a bit of insight on why Reginae parted ways with the OMG Girlz after doing a bit of recording with them. “It was kind of like a mutual decision,” explained the television personality. “We decided that she would work with her father. So now she’s signed to Young Money, but everything is still all good with Tiny and I. We just decided that it would be best that Reginae work with her father with music.”
Lil Wayne’s album, Tha Carter V, is expected to be released in coming months. This will be Wayne’s final album as the artist announced his plans to stop making solo records earlier this year.
