Joshua,13, is concerned about his community, and does everything within his power to make a difference. The teen from Miami, Florida currently runs a food program that spreads awareness about hunger while helping the less fortunate.
It was six years ago when Joshua became concerned about the welfare of others. While many of his peers were playing and making new friends at school, Josh was researching and informing others about the millions of underprivileged individuals who went to bed hungry because they didn’t have enough money to buy food. Such passion eventually led to the teen forming his own charity called Joshua’s Heart. The foundation seeks to provide nutrition to the impoverished while encouraging those with more wealth to lend a helping hand to individuals in need.
Joshua and his foundation will be featured on Disney’s ‘Make Your Mark,’ on Saturday, November 1, 2014. The show seeks out and features youngsters like Josh who are working hard to make the world a better place to live. Thus far, ‘Make Your Mark’ has showcased six other tweens and teens who are making positive societal impacts.
Be sure to check out Joshua’s story when it airs on the Disney Channel this Saturday, November 1st.
