Amandla Stenberg, now 15, continues to rise in her acting career. After stealing our hearts as Rue in The Hunger Games, the young star has gone on to to be an active philanthropist, has taken a whirl at voice-acting, and has even taken a crack at filmmaking. Next up, catch her in the upcoming sitcom Mr. Robinson.
The NBC program stars Craig Robinson, a down-on-his-luck substitute music teacher who decides to use his position to get the otherwise uninterested students to understand and appreciate the power of music. Amandla will co-star as one of the students.
The starlet was also recently spotted at Variety and Women in Film Emmy Nominee Celebration. Looking mature and elegant, Amandla went out to show her support at the event that pays tribute to outstanding women in the industry. The attendees also included Kerry Washington and Angela Bassett.
