Aisha Tyler and husband Jeff Tietjens are enjoying one another with desire to expand the family at this time. The talk show co-host recently told Huff Post Live that she and her spouse of more than two decades are placing more focus on their careers these days.
“When we found out that [getting pregnant] was going to be difficult to impossible, it really was a choice to stop,” said the star. Aisha previously revealed her choice to stop trying to conceive children, but was indecisive about adoption at the time.
In addition to telling Huff Post Live that she and Jeff are not currently planning to expand their family, the comedian told couples experiencing problems with fertility that there was nothing wrong with being married without children. “I wanted families [and] couples to know that it was a valid choice not to get on this crazy merry-go-round of IVF and tens and tens of thousands of dollars,” said the star. “And by the way, most of them don’t get pregnant,” added Aisha. “I wanted people to feel – men and women – it’s okay to say, ‘I love my marriage, I love my life, I choose not to have children.'”
