NFL payer Orlando Scandrick sat down for an episode of “My Life as a Dad” to discuss balancing his career with fathering his twin girls.
Tatyana and Taylor are only four years old, but Orlando says he can already see them turning into women. “They’re getting to the age where they’re gaining some independence… They’re developing their little personalities,” he continued, “and they’re very emotional” he added. But despite being twins, their dad can already see differences between them. For instance, he noted that Tatyana (technically, the younger daughter) is a little girlier than her sister.
Although Orlando and their mother are no longer together, he does get to spend quite a bit of time with them. He explained that during the off-season he is in California and sees them every other day, and when he’s playing he gets them for about a week a month. During that time it’s very important to him to spend quality time and give them a family atmosphere with his girlfriend and her 7-year-old son.
“We try to go to dinner and do different types of things,” Orlando said. Reminiscing on their last visit, he reported, “we went to an ice show, we went to dinner… We just spent time with each other, with them, my girlfriend, her son.” He added, “to kind of develop, to let them see the whole family atmosphere, that’s the things that I think is most important.”
The short interview ended with Orlando stating, “it’s all about the kids now.”
