Terri Vaughn is not letting pregnancy slow her down. In fact, it is the driving force behind the mom-to-be’s upcoming T.V. movie, Girlfriends Getaway.
The 44-year-old actress is now expecting her third child, and shows off her baby bump as she stars as the very pregnant Sophie in this fun new flick. The story follows four girlfriends, all at pivotal moments in their lives, as they set off for a wild vacation in Trinidad. But things may have gotten too wild when they realize Sophie has been kidnapped. The women must pull together to come up with the ransom money, save their friend, and not end up in jail!
It is directed by Roger M. Bobb, a former employee at Tyler Perry Studios.
Terri posted some picturesque behind-the-scenes photos on her instagram and wrote: “Thanking God for waking me up to another beautiful day in #Trinidad. This has been the most amazing work experience in my life”. She also took the time to pose with co-star Garcelle Beauvais’ new children’s book, I Am Living in Two Homes. She captioned the snapshot: ” So proud of the women I’m surrounded by, fabulous talented smart and saavy. A must for young readers by @garcelle”.
The cast also includes Malinda Williams and Essence Atkins.
Anxious for the arrival of her third child, Terri told Cocoa Fab “I feel so excited to be able to grow our family and bring another life into the world. Mentally, physically and spiritually I feel grounded and ready to receive this blessing! I’m grateful to be chosen by God to be a mother.”
She and her husband Karon Riley welcomed their first child, Kal’El, in 2008. The actress also has a 12 year old son, Daylen Ali from a previous marriage.
Girlfriends Getaway premiers on TV One, August 30th at 8pm.
