Stevie J is working hard to avoid jail in his historical child support case. The ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star has allegedly been talking with federal investigators in hopes of getting his sentence lightened.
TheJasmineBrand.com reports,
“According to federal court docs, Stevie J makes around 27k a month for his role on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” and from January – August 2013 he made a total of $193,499 from VH1 checks. He has also made over 105k in music royalties in the past decade.
Then on July 11th, the feds filed docs in the case stating they have been in settlement talks with Stevie J in an attempt to resolve the case without going to trial.”
It appears that the conversations have been working in Stevie’s favor thus far, as the feds have scheduled another hearing that could possibly lead to the star avoiding jail time.
Stevie J is said to owe Carol Bennett more than $1 million in back child support. Stevie has five kids in all.
